A sinus lift, referred to as sinus augmentation or sinus floor elevation, is a surgical intervention designed to create adequate space for dental implants in the upper jaw. The primary aim of a sinus lift is to enhance the bone volume in the posterior maxilla (upper jaw) surrounding the molars and premolars. This is achieved by elevating the lower Schneiderian membrane (sinus membrane) and introducing a bone graft, thereby increasing the available bone for the placement of dental implants
